Getting Started
MERCORA is a customizable Shopify theme designed
to help merchants create professional online storefronts.
Installing MERCORA
- Log in to your Shopify Admin.
- Navigate to Online Store โ Themes.
- Add MERCORA to your theme library using the authorized installation method.
- Find MERCORA and click Customize.
- Configure your branding, colors, navigation, and homepage sections.
- Preview your store on desktop and mobile.
- Publish when you are ready.
Important:
Duplicate your current theme before making major changes.
Keep an unpublished backup for testing.

Theme Settings
Global theme settings control the appearance and
behavior of your MERCORA storefront.
Access Theme Settings
- Open Online Store โ Themes.
- Click Customize next to MERCORA.
- Open Theme settings.
- Choose the setting category to edit.
- Save your changes.
Business Information
Configure your available business information,
branding, and identity settings.
Logo and Branding
Upload your logo and configure its available
sizing and positioning controls.
Colors and Typography
Adjust available background colors, text colors,
buttons, headings, and font settings.
Product Display Settings
Configure product-card appearance, media presentation,
and pricing visibility where these controls are available.
Social Links
Add your business's social media links through the
theme settings. Supported sections may reuse these links.

Header and Navigation
The header helps visitors navigate your store and
access search, account, and cart features.
Customizing Your Header
- Open the MERCORA theme editor.
- Select the Header section.
- Configure the logo and menu.
- Choose your available layout settings.
- Configure search and customer account options.
- Preview the desktop and mobile header.
- Save your changes.
Navigation Menus
Manage menu items and links through Shopify's
navigation settings, then select the appropriate
menu in the theme editor.
Announcement Bar
Use the announcement bar for store notices,
promotions, and important customer messages.
Configure its available text, links, and display settings.

Homepage Sections
MERCORA includes a collection of customizable
sections that allow merchants to build a storefront
using Shopify's visual editor.
Adding a Section
- Open Online Store โ Themes โ Customize.
- Select the page you want to edit.
- Click Add section.
- Choose the desired MERCORA section.
- Configure its content and appearance.
- Drag the section to reorder it.
- Save your changes.
Slideshow and Banners
Use image and promotional banners to highlight
collections, campaigns, and store announcements.
Review available media and navigation options.
Featured Collection
Select a collection to highlight products on
your homepage. Adjust the available card layout,
product count, and display settings.
Collection List
Display selected collections to help customers
explore your catalog.
Featured Product
Showcase an individual product and configure
the available product presentation controls.
Image and Text Sections
Combine images, headings, descriptions,
and buttons to introduce your business,

Video and Rich Text
Use available video and text sections to

pricing, and button appearance where supported.
Quick View
Where available, Quick View provides a faster way
for shoppers to inspect product information.

Organize promotional products using Shopify

Marketing Studio
Marketing Studio provides customizable layouts

- Open the theme editor.

- Choose the desired promotional layout.
- Select products and configure the available content blocks.
- Customize colors, media, and promotion details.
- Preview on desktop and mobile.

Product Promotion
Highlight a selected product using available
product, coupon, or promotional content cards.
Coupon Banner
Display promotional offers using coupon-style
layouts and available design controls.
Countdown Timer
Use a countdown to communicate a time-limited
event. Ensure the displayed deadline is accurate.
Scheduled Banners
Where scheduling is available, configure
the start and end dates for promotional content.
Verify when the promotion appears and disappears.
Sale and Clearance
Feature discounted merchandise using
designated products or collections.
Discount Reminder:
Displaying a coupon or promotional price
does not necessarily create a Shopify discount.

Mobile Testing Checklist
- Verify the mobile navigation opens and closes.
- Confirm text remains readable.
- Check product card and image alignment.
- Test Add to Cart and other purchase controls.
- Review buttons, links, and form fields.
- Inspect image and video sizing.
- Test checkout on a mobile device.
10 / SOLUTIONS
Troubleshooting
My product images are cropped.
Review the image-fit or media-display settings
for the affected product card or section.
Test with images of different proportions.
A section is not appearing.
Check its visibility settings, assigned content,
scheduling options, and whether it has been added
to the correct page template.
My product is missing.
Confirm the product is active, available to the
Online Store sales channel, and included in
the appropriate collection.
My coupon is not working.
Check Shopify Admin โ Discounts and confirm
the discount requirements are satisfied.
A visual coupon by itself may not apply a discount.
My theme changes are not visible.
Save your changes, refresh the storefront,
and verify that you are editing or previewing
the intended theme.
A feature is not working as expected.
Check the associated settings and test without
conflicting third-party modifications where possible.
If the issue continues, submit a support request
with the steps needed to reproduce it.
